Posted on: 12/09/2009
Week 1

Justina Craft – New Hope High School
4.0 GPA
Sports: Volleyball & Basketball
Justina takes her role as a senior at New Hope High School very seriously. She leads by example on the court as a four-year starter for the Lady Indians varsity basketball team. She’s a force on the volleyball court as well. She’s earned All-County, All-Area and tournament MVP honors while leading her team. It’s the same story in the classroom. Justina carries a 4.0 GPA, which places her solidly on the A-honor roll. She’s been named as a Girls State Representative, as well as to the Alabama Youth Leadership program. Justina’s been a peer helper in her free time, but still finds time to fulfill her role as Senior class Vice President and Vice President of the National Honor Society. Congratulations Justine!
Week 2

William A. Pride II – Lee High School
3.5 GPA
Sports: Basketball
William is the kind of senior most of his peers look up to at Lee High School. On the basketball court, William is the leader among the Generals. He’s been named to the All-County basketball team with the help of a Lee High basketball team that has brought home numerous basketball tournament titles. William’s focus carries over into the classroom where he works hard to maintain a 3.5 GPA, but also to keep his name high on the honor role. He’s also been the recipient of the Good Citizenship Award. William takes his love of basketball and shares it with the youth of Huntsville as he coaches little league teams in basketball and baseball. Congratulations William!
