Sparkman High School Joins TOC Sports Team

Posted on: 09/16/2009

Sparkman High School Principal Manual Wallace put pen to paper and made it official earlier this summer.  The Senators are now under the sports medicine care of Huntsville Hospital Sports Center AND TOC Sports.  For nearly five years, TOC Sports had teamed up with HealthSouth sports medicine and later Select sports medicine to handle all the sports medicine needs for Sparkman High School.  Now, with Principal Wallace leading the Senators on a new path, towards a new goal, Huntsville Hospital has partnered up with Sparkman to be the official hospital and medical resource center for the high school, providing two certified athletic trainers for full-time sports medicine coverage.

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN TO YOU?  It means that the family of schools who are covered by Huntsville Hospital Sports Center and TOC Sports continues to grow.  It means together our program is continuing its quest to provide sports medicine coverage for every high school in Madison County.  But most importantly, it means that each and every student and faculty member of Sparkman High School and surrounding middle schools now has the resources, knowledge and experience of the state’s largest sports medicine team at their disposal.

Huntsville Hospital Sports Center and The Orthopaedic Center Sports Medicine division have had a long-standing sports medicine partnership, spanning nearly a decade.  Both provide coverage in Madison County for the following high schools: Bob Jones, Butler, Catholic, Columbia, Hazel Green, Huntsville, Johnson, Lee, Madison County, and New Hope.  They are also sports medicine providers for Alabama A&M University, Oakwood University, Huntsville Havoc Hockey, Tennessee Valley Vipers Football and Rocket City United Futbol, among many other clubs and organizations.
