Tennessee Valley Amputee Support Group

Posted on: 07/08/2010

The Tennessee Valley Amputee Support Group exists to help amputees recover from their amputations as well as to help them reclaim their lives through faith, work and membership.  Our main goal is to offer support not only physically, but also mentally and emotionally.  We will work with all age ranges from children to seniors.  Through our peer visitors we are able to start helping amputees early in the transition process so that they are able to overcome the challenge of the amputation and return to work, school, or any activity you have enjoyed prior.

The Tennessee Valley Amputee Support Group will meet on the second Tuesday of each month @7:00 pm and will be scheduled to continue until 8:00 pm or as long as needed to resolve any concerns you may have.  We are located at 927 Franklin St., 2nd Floor, Huntsville, Alabama, 35801 in the Franklin Medical Tower.  We will have guest speakers as often as possible that will be available to assist you in many aspects of your recovery, therapy and ability to reach the highest quality of life possible.  We are concerned with helping both the amputee and their family members.
