John J. Greco, M.D.
Biography
Dr. Greco is a member of The Orthopaedic Center Sports Medicine Team. He is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine. He specializes in arthroscopic and open reconstruction of the knee and shoulder and the Oxford partial knee replacement. Dr. Greco is also a volunteer Clinical Assistant Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He also possess subspecialty certification in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. Dr. Greco is the head team physician for Alabama A & M University, the Huntsville Havoc minor-league hockey team, Alabama Vipers as well as a number of area high-school athletic programs. Dr. Greco is also Medical Director for Huntsvile Hospital Sports Center and Highlands Medical Center. Dr. Greco is the Sports Medicine Physician for Strike King Lure Company's Elite National Pro Fishing Staff. He is currently involved in research validating the clinical use of platelet-rich plasma and synthetic articular cartilage transplants. Dr. Greco specializes in Patellofemoral knee pain in athletes, rotator cuff treatment in the weekend warriors and shoulder and knee reconstruction in the athlete.Memberships
