Patient Stories

K.S. – Massive Rotator Cuff Tear of the Right Shoulder
I was told by other orthopaedic surgeons that my torn rotator cuff was too large a tear to fix and that I should just live with it.  Thank goodness I saw Dr. Fambrough.  He fixed it with the scope, no cuts.  I am doing great with no pain and am back to an active life style.

H. F. – Failed Cuff Repair
My rotator cuff was repaired by another doctor and I continued to have pain.  I was told nothing else could be done.  My friend had seen Dr. Fambrough and referred me to him.   He made the correct diagnosis – (failed repair) and took out the loose screws and fixed my rotator cuff.  I am now pain free. Thank you Dr. Fambrough.
B.B. – Rotator Cuff Tear of the Right Shoulder
I live outside Huntsville and was not aware that shoulder surgery could be performed arthroscopically.  The doctor in my town wanted to do “mini open” surgery (cut the muscle), but Dr. Fambrough was able to do it without the open procedure. Thank you.

D.W.W. – Total Shoulder Replacement
My friend at church told me about Dr. Fambrough and referred me.  I am so glad he did.  I had an artificial shoulder and I am doing well.  I can dress, fix my hair, and do most activities I enjoy.  I have no pain.  I sleep though the night.

Recurrent Dislocation
I had numerous operations prior to seeing Dr. Fambrough for my shoulder but continued to dislocate.  Dr. Fambrough did a relatively new operation with a graft to my shoulder.  It is only one and a half years since surgery, but no further dislocations and I have returned to a normal lifestyle.  Thank you.
