Biography

Dr. Goodson is board certified and specializes in Orthopaedic surgery. He is originally from Birmingham, Al but was raised in Carrollton, AL. He graduated from Carrollton High School where he was a Bryant Jordan Scholar Athlete. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama in Biology and his medical degree from the University Of South Alabama College Of Medicine where he received the Dean's Award. Dr. Goodson recently completed his Orthopaedic residency at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He received the Orthopaedic Residency Achievement Award for Knowledge in Orthopaedic Surgery. While there he was the team physician for several community high school teams.
Dr. Goodson specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. He has a special interest in arthroscopy, reconstruction of the shoulder and knee and joint replacements. He has received training in minimally invasive hip and knee surgery. Dr. Goodson is a member of the Mayo Alumni Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Minnesota Medical Society.
Dr. Goodson has joined the team of orthopaedic physicians at TOC - The Orthopaedic Center in Huntsville, AL.
