The Trauma Center of Excellence at TOC brings together a team of dedicated and highly trained orthopaedic trauma physicians and support staff to diagnose and treat severe and complex musculoskeletal injuries. North Alabama’s first and only orthopaedic trauma center.
Our physicians and staff provide comprehensive and specialized care for conditions caused from trauma related injuries, complex fractures and dislocations. By getting treatment as early as possible in our state-of the facility, patients can be assured of the very best care.
Specialized treatments and surgical procedures employed are used to treat the following trauma related injuries:
- Multiple and complex fractures
- Fracture of the shoulder blade (scapula)
- Hip fractures
- Hip dislocation
- Thighbone fractures
- Hand fractures
