Your health is a very important part of your life. In trying times like this, we are faced with many uncertainties. But one certain thing is that TOC is here and committed to the safety and orthopaedic needs of our patients. We have implemented additional safety measures by giving our patients COVID-19 screenings when arriving along with additional sanitization measures for all of our TOC locations.
We have been paying close attention to COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019). As news and information regarding Coronavirus is rapidly changing, we encourage you to please contact your TOC location to reschedule your appointment if you:
• are experiencing cold or flu symptoms, particularly a fever, cough, or shortness of breath
• or anyone close to you has had contact with anyone diagnosed with Coronavirus or the flu in the last three weeks
• have traveled outside the United States within the last three weeks
• have been diagnosed with Coronavirus, the flu, or any other communicable illness in the last three weeks
Everyone can take precautions against the spread of Coronavirus, including:
• Clean your hands often
• Avoid handshakes and hugs and touching your face
• Cover coughs and sneezes
• Stay home if you’re sick

NON-URGENT AND ELECTIVE SURGERIES
Effective immediately and until further notice, Huntsville Hospital is postponing ALL non-urgent/elective surgeries. If you are scheduled to have an elective surgery with TOC, you should expect to receive a call from one of our surgery schedulers confirming postponement of your surgery and to discuss rescheduling options.
TOC AND TELEHEALTH
TOC will continue to be accessible to you through the options of Telehealth. This option will be for existing patients’ follow-up visits, where you will be able to have your office visit by speaking with your TOC provider via video and/or phone. Please call your TOC location to see if this an option for you.

Patients who have appointments in Huntsville, Madison, Athens, and Guntersville clinics:
TOC is finding ways to provide you with the safest possible care. We are now offering no lobby waiting. You can now check-in for appointments at the kiosk and then wait in your car. Once an exam room is ready, you will receive a text and then can enter the clinic to see your physician.

TOC’s After Hours Clinics (both Huntsville and Madison locations) are suspended until further notice. If you need urgent orthopaedic care, please call us at (256) 539-2728 to be scheduled with an orthopaedic specialist during regular business hours.
We will re-open the After Hours Clinics as soon as possible and thank you for your understanding.
