Steven L. Buckley, MD

Biography

Dr. Buckley specializes in pediatric orthopaedics and is a member of The Orthopaedic Center’s Pediatric Team. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Buckley completed his pediatric orthopaedic training at Johns Hopkins Hospital and served on the faculty of the Shriner’s Hospital in San Francisco, the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He has authored more than 30 scientific articles and book chapters dealing with orthopaedics and is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Alabama Medical Society, Madison County Medical Society, and Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America.

Dr. Buckley treats disorders of growth and development affecting the skeleton, muscles and joints of a child, from birth through adolescent years. He approaches this sub-specialty of orthopaedic medicine with a special focus on procedures that will yield the best outcomes in pediatric growth, development and function.
