Jason Hatfield, DO

Biography

Dr. Hatfield graduated in 1994 from Samford University in Birmingham, AL, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He then went on to graduate medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 1998, and completed his medical experience with residency at University of Mississippi/North Mississippi Medical Center from 1999-2001.

Dr. Hatfield began his career in 2001 as a partner of Physician’s Clinic.  In addition, he worked full-time as an ER physician at Northwest Medical Center. In 2004, Dr. Hatfield formed his solo family and sports medicine clinic, Hatfield Medical Clinic in Winfield, AL.  After 14 years of serving his community with family and sports medicine care in his private practice, Dr. Hatfield decided to make the move to specialize in sports medicine care and joined OrthoSports Athens as a nonsurgical orthopaedics and sports medicine physician.

Dr. Hatfield is married to his wife Emily, and they have 2 children, Alexandria and Cade.  Alex is a spine surgical sales representative and Cade is currently a Cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Dr. Hatfield is an avid triathlete and also enjoys golf and traveling.
