Biography

Mike is a practicing occupational therapist concentrating in orthopedics with a focus on hands. Mike graduated from UAB in 1996 and has been a Certified Hand Therapist since 2004. Throughout his career Mike has also been a clinical education coordinator, responsible for training occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant students; has been responsible for ergonomic set up of work spaces throughout a local hospital and has presented ergonomic programs to various local groups and national secretary’s conference; has worked with a COPD clinic presenting energy conservation lectures; has presented the need for occupational therapy and hand therapy at Alabama’s workers comp case management conference (AWCO). Mike also enjoys serving in his church and in his community. He is a licensed member of the Alabama State Board of Occupational Therapy and a certified member of the Hand Therapy Certification Commission and National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
