Orthopaedic Surgeon & Sports Medicine Specialist
Dr. Stanton Davis specializes in injuries of the shoulder, elbow, and knee. Board-certified in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine with advanced training in rehabilitation, Dr. Davis applies the least invasive and most effective techniques to reduce pain and speed recovery. Dr. Davis is recognized as one of America’s Top Orthopedists by the Consumer Research Council of America.
An Expert in Shoulder Surgery
Former team physician of the San Francisco 49ers, Stanford University and Auburn University, Dr. Davis is passionate about sports medicine and works hard to promote sports safety and injury prevention. He is currently the orthopaedic surgeon for the Huntsville Havoc and Alabama A&M University. His experience providing orthopaedic care to athletes from all Major League sports enables him to apply that same level of care to his patients. Dr. Davis partners with Huntsville Hospital SportsCenter, a community outreach program to provide athletic training, medical and educational services to area high schools.
He is currently clinical faculty for the Sports Medicine Department at the UAB School of Medicine in Huntsville. He instructs athletic trainers, physical therapists, physician assistants, and young physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of sports-related conditions in young and aging athletes.
Dr. Davis serves internationally by taking medical teams and building relationships with healthcare providers to improve the quality of orthopaedic services in impoverished communities.
