TOC-The Orthopaedic Center celebrated its new Spine Center in Florence today with a ribbon cutting.
The clinic offers access to experienced, certified physician assistant, Shane Palmer, PA-C, and includes physical therapy. Shane Palmer, PA-C, in collaboration with the following spine surgeons: Cyrus Ghavam, MD, Larry Parker, MD, Calame Sammons, MD, Brian Scholl, MD, and Morris Seymour, MD offers specialized diagnosis and treatment of the spine in a convenient location. Rehabilitation services include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, strength training, conditioning and therapeutic modalities, such as ultrasound and electronic stimulation. Dr. Brian Scholl, orthopaedic spine surgeon with The Orthopaedic Center (TOC), recently performed Alabama’s first Mazor X-assisted spine surgery at Huntsville Hospital. Dr. Larry Parker, orthopaedic spine surgeon, is being credentialed to use the Mazor X system.
Using Mazor X robot system allows a surgeon to map out the procedure ahead of time based on the patient’s unique anatomy. Mazor X 3D surgical planning software is used before surgery to create the ideal procedure for the best possible outcome.
