A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated to TOC’s Hurricane Relief Drive – your generosity has been amazing! Yesterday we nearly filled The Surgery Center’s truck with water, food, cleaning supplies and more. Your donations will soon be on their way to Panama City, FL.
Here at TOC our hearts go out to all those who have been affected by Hurricane Michael. TOC is organizing a relief effort, collecting non-perishable items for gulf coast residents in need. You are invited to bring items to any TOC location. We will deliver the donations to Panama City on October 26.

A fall can happen anywhere and at any time, but sadly, according to the CDC an older adult dies every twenty minutes from a fall, and they mostly happen in the home. Since September 22 – 28 is Fall Prevention Awareness Week, it’s the perfect time to inventory your own home and those of loved ones. Preventing falls in the fall and every other season just takes some thoughtful evaluation and a few adjustments.
The After Hours Clinic will be open on Saturday, September 1 from 8:00-11:00 a.m. The After Hours Clinic will be CLOSED on Monday, September 3 and resume its regular schedule on Tuesday, September 4.
Despite our best efforts, sports injuries happen… and TOC is here when they do.
The Friday Night Injury Clinic begins on Friday, August 24 and runs every Friday night throughout the fall high school sports season. TOC Sports Medicine physicians and Huntsville Hospital athletic trainers will be available to evaluate and treat student athletes with possible sports injuries. The walk-in clinic (no appointment necessary) is held from 8-11 pm at the Pediatric ER at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children.
The Orthopaedic Center (TOC) announces the opening of our new Athens location in the brand new Athens Surgery Center at 22454 US Hwy 72, Athens, AL.
The new, larger facility allows us to bring both the TOC Athens Orthopaedic practice and TOC Physical Therapy services under one roof. We will be able to offer additional resources to patients in the expanded space, and the new, combined location makes it even more convenient for members of our community to be united with experts in orthopaedic care.
Drs. Patrick Boyett, William Lawrence, Eric Stanford, Blake Boyett, and Jason Hatfield cover all aspects of orthopaedic care using both surgical and non-surgical treatment methods. The team includes Joint Replacement, Spine, Sports, Hand, Hip, Knee, and Shoulder orthopaedic specialists.
TOC is thrilled to be a part of the new Athens Surgery Center. The three-story medical office building is part of the Athens-Limestone Hospital’s Medical East campus near the U.S. 72/Interstate 65 junction in Athens, and it is part of the Huntsville Hospital network. The state-of-the art building includes an outpatient surgery center with six operating rooms, imaging and laboratory services, a retail pharmacy, and physician office space. TOC Athens Orthopaedic Office and TOC Physical Therapy are located on the second floor of the Surgery Center.
